The author explains that to achieve anything of substance, one must possess both the skill and the will to make it happen, however, it’s the emotional element that fuels performance, that will ultimately decide the success of any project we undertake. The book is divided into three sections and covers the causes and symptoms of anxiety, practical strategies for extinguishing said anxiety and focuses on igniting hope and positivity as a cornerstone of our thought processes. 

Having the capacity to maintain enthusiasm even when the odds are heavily stacked against us by using hope as a catalyst, will usher us towards our ultimate goal. Dr Ross describes the necessary strategic components required and how dynamic and optimistic anticipation will brighten our outlook and create a positive environment, paving the way for success and fulfilment. 

Setting inspirational goals requires a plan of action and hope helps one to achieve them, without hope, it’s simply wishful thinking. Your goals must tie into a personal passion and evoke enthusiasm, whether you are a corporate leader or an individual wanting to advance — they should resonate, captivate your attention and stimulate your soul, to be executed effectively.

I embraced this insightful and captivating work by Dr Randy Ross and found it exactly what I needed at this point in my life. I applaud the author for highlighting the importance of hope when it comes to navigating storms with fortitude and the importance of building strong relationships with others.
