[Following is a volunteer review of “My Trip To Adele” by R.I.Alyaseer and A. I Alyaseer.]

This extraordinary book, 𝘔𝘺 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘱 𝘛𝘰 𝘈𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘦, written by co-authors, A. I Alyasser and R.I Alyasser, recount the complex lives of three different characters from different countries and diverse backgrounds, grappling with relationship complexities. An Adele Concert in Verona becomes their focus as a way of rekindling memories, ensuring promises are kept and escaping the domination of a devious ex. The compelling narrative seamlessly describes the circumstances surrounding the lives of each of the protagonists, eventually building up to a riveting crescendo as the stories unfold.
Elias who lives in Rome, yearns for a girl called Malika, whom he met in Morroco years ago and whom he promised to meet up with at the concert. Nadia, a divorcee, prepares to travel to Rome from Jordan with her young son, Waleed, but can she escape the tentacles of her abusive ex-husband? while Yaser, a married man from Las Vegas desperately seeks escapism from his demanding and pious wife whose beliefs are strangling the life out of him.
As we follow each character on their journey from the shadows of Marrakesh to the casinos of Los Angeles and the stranglehold of abuse on a woman desperate to break free: readers will grapple with their emotions. I was appalled and angry with the forces that seemed to be in control of Nadia’s life and furious with the belligerent attitude of Yaser’s wife. The intertwining of words from Adele’s songs with the stories was brilliant and perfectly in sync.
This captivating and suspenseful, romance classic will delight and entertain readers in equal measure. I found the seamless narrative well-structured and easy to follow and I enjoyed the inclusion of verses from Adele’s songs. This book took me by surprise as I had assumed something quite different to the actual content and therefore, I have no hesitation in awarding a full star rating of five out of five stars. There was nothing that I disliked about the book and found that I had to reread it to take notes.
This was an unputdownable read which I recommend to those who enjoy something different in the romance/fiction genre with a twist in the tale. It was well-edited, beautifully structured and so worthwhile.
